Dear Mr.
Vergasov:
EDMUND G. BROWN Jr.,
Governor
I recently
received your letter expressing your concerns regarding the
investigation of
your
traffic collision,
#2011-7-189,
which occurred on July 21,2011. Specifically, you related to
Governor
Brown your frustration
while communicating with the Redwood City Area office. Additionally, you
related the Redwood City Area office refused to provide you and your
insurance company, with the correct
license
plate number of the other
involved
vehicle. Lastly, you related that you attempted to review your collision
report at the Redwood City Area
office and you claim you were informed the report had been transferred
to the Dublin
Area office. Your correspondence was forwarded to
Commissioner J. Farrow
to respond on behalf of
Governor Brown.
The Commissioner's office notified you by letter that
the investigation is on going and incomplete.
Officer J. Cox is actively
working on follow-up information and will complete a supplemental report
to be attached to the original investigation. The original accident
investigation is currently
available and as soon as the supplemental report is complete,
you will be notified. I am aware that
you have been in contact with
Officer Cox recently and understand that he is working diligently to
complete an accurate,
thorough
investigation.
As
noted
to you
in
the letter
from
the
Commissioner's
office,
there is
a well-defined
accident investigation review process in which you may participate. Once
you have the finalized supplemental report,
you may express any concerns in a letter to the Redwood City Area
office. Once the letter is received, the officer's supervisor will
address your concerns with the investigating officer. Additionally, you
will be given a written notice upon the completion of the inquiry. If
any changes or amendments are made to the investigation, you will be
provided a photocopy of those changes/amendments.
If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter,
please contact Sergeant Edwards at (650) 369-6261.
Sincerely,
M. A. MASKARICH, Captain Commander
